They're Spirited, Smart and Social 

 The Toy Poodle achieved great popuarity in France and was known worldwide as a "trick dog".  They were court favorites during the reign of Louis XVI and Queene Anne.  For the Poodle, beauty and brains go together.  Poodles are exceptionally smart and excel in obedience training.  The Poodle is one of the hypoallergenic breeds recommended by the AKC for those who suffer from allergies.  Their coats requires regular professional grooming every four to six weeks. Poodles are currently the 8th most popular breed registred in the United States.  Great leaders such as Winston Churchill and Grover Cleveland owned Poodles.  Poodles also have been recently awarded the prestigious Award for Canine Excellence by the AKC for their ability to work as therapy dogs.  

 For senior citizens, I highly recommend the poodle.  There is "No shredding, no doggie smell", so easy to train. After they get out of the puppy stage, they make wonderful companions.  They are always by your side. They are wonderful loving, caring pets, so gentle with other dogs and people.   They not only protect you but are so in tune with your health problems,  even learning when a person is hard of hearing, getting your attention by barking when someone is at the door or a phone is ringing.  They make wonderful play mates for children also.  For children  you must be selective and chose the larger sizes of a poodle.  The miniature is the smartest of all the poodles.

This is Lexi she is another Breeder that I have that maybe too small to breed, ( she is 2 @ 2 lbs in this picture) So I have started taking her along on the Tractors in the Parades as a Mascott also.
