Kennels
Shih Tzu is one of the oldest breeds, (pronounced Sheed-zoo). The origins of this breed can be traced back to China. They were cherished by the Chinese royals as prized house pets for over thousand years. In England, they became the dog of choice among many of the Lords and Ladies, including the Countess of Essex. As a companion dog, their diminutive size makes the breed an excellent apartment dog, for someone who is living alone or without children. This bred flourishes in the society of human beings. The Shih Tzu is a small, compact breed. It is very hardly and sound. It is a long-hair breed, whose coat comes in a wide variety of colors and patterns. The Shih Tzu is a happy, lively, intelligent, alert, and of general good temperament. The Shih Tzu is a house dog, and therfore must be kept indoors. While it is good to take them outdoors for exercise, you must not expose them to harsh weather for a prolonged period of time. Shih Tzu are not very tolerant of cold weather. Just look at a litter of Shih Tzu puppies... How can anyone resist those tiny, clumsy balls of fur frolicking with their littermates in such a carefree manner. One glimpse can melt the coldest heart. One of the greatest pleasures of owning a Shih Tzu puppy is to watch it grow from a small, delicate bundle of energy into a proud, dignified, and intelligent member of the family. Shih Tzu make excellent pets for the older person. I plan to purchase another Shih Tzu female this year for breeding puposes.
